Daily Day by Day

IRVINE, California (Reuters) - 04.24.2006

President George W. Bush said on Monday he doubted a “massive deportation” of foreigners living illegally in the United States would solve the country’s immigration woes, as he tried to revive prospects for an election-year agreement in the divided U.S. Congress.

Of course it won’t work. Under the current system they would all just come right back! This is nothing but posturing at this point Mr. President. You do not want to do anything about the problem. Congress doesn’t want to do anything about the problem. Deporting all the people that are here illegally won’t work if you are not willing to do anything to curb the flow across the border.

“I know this is an emotional debate,” Bush said. “But one thing we cannot lose sight of is that we’re talking about human beings, decent human beings that need to be treated with respect. Massive deportation of the people here is unrealistic. It’s just not going to work.”

Cut the crap! We are talking about criminals here. These are not decent people. They maybe decent people except for that nagging little fact that they are breaking the law and doing so on a daily basis. They have no respect for us or our laws. This goes for anyone here illegally and not just the Mexicans. These people knowingly came here and broke our laws in doing so. Why the hell are we treating them with kid gloves? Why are we trying to keep their feelings intact? They are criminals and should be treated as such.

I cannot even go on commenting on the article. It’s filled with so much liberal crap that I am just too angry to keep quoting it. This is not an issue of immigrant rights. People who are immigrants, legally, have every right that I have. People who are here against the law have no rights save being transported to the border and kicked out. I do not care how long they have been here. How many babies they had here. How old they are. They are criminals and should be expelled from our country. Make it a three strike system for all I care. Take their DNA and send them home on a bus the first time. The second time lock them up for 5 years. The third time lock them up for life without parole. These people are lawbreakers. They are not citizens. They are not afforded the same protections as citizens. They do not get to vote. The have no right to peaceably assemble. They do not have freedom of speech. They are criminals. I am disgusted that our President has chosen to take the liberal view on this and pull out the “they are people” card. Of course they are people Mr. Bush and no-one is arguing they are not. We are arguing that they are criminals and should be treated as such.

Illegal Immigrants are people, yes. Murderers are people. Thieves are people. Drug dealers are people. Rapists are people. Child abusers are people. Home invaders are people. Muggers are people. Extortionists are people. Kidnappers are people. Embezzelers are people. Tax evaders are people. Insurance defrauders are people. Con artists are people. That’s why we don’t just shoot them in the head when they break the law. Lucky, aren’t they?
