Our Mother Jesus . . . a sermon by US church’s new head
THE Episcopal Church in America descended into chaos last night after leading bishops on both the liberal and conservative wings dissassociated themselves from a last-gasp effort to avert a schism with the worldwide Anglican Communion.
Just hours after its newly elected woman head preached a sermon in praise of “our mother Jesus”, the Episcopal Church agreed to “exercise restraint” in appointing any more gay bishops after a tense day of debate and argument.
I know I usually excercise a little restraint with my language here. But I never promised a family friendly site and I have only one question: WHAT. THE. FUCK? Our MOTHER Jesus? The Epsicopal church has officially decended into heresy. There is no coming back until they summarily dismiss this woman. They were apostate upon electing here and further apostate upon her statement:
Newly elected leader of the U.S. Episcopal Church Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori said on Monday she believed homosexuality was no sin and homosexuals were created by God to love people of the same gender.
But they have descended into full on heresy. Their attempts at not being cut off by the Anglicans should be thwarted by a sermon like this by the leader of the American arm of the denomination. She is denying basic ideas about Christ. Ideas that, in fact, are not negotiable according to scripture. Scripture is clear that Christ is the SON of God the FATHER. Assigning a female gender to Christ is heresy.
Liberals in Britain and America defended her sermon as being in a long tradition of writings by women theologians that use the metaphor of Jesus as mother.
And liberals on both sides of the pond tout the right to murder children as a sign of a modern society. Liberals are not who the church, this or any other, ought to be taking seriously. These people are obviously lunatics. Christ is not a MOTHER metaphorically or otherwise. The main article describes this woman, who holds a position reserved for a man by scripture, as weilding “feminist credentials”. I wonder if that means she has personally killed the unborn? All musings aside anyone who is a Christian ought to running away from the Episcopal church as fast as their metaphorical legs will carry them. There is nowhere they can go from this point that will accomplish anything. Leaving this denomination is truly the only option. It will not take long for them to be cut off from the Anglican communion and become completely apostate, ordaining and marrying gays, and only God knows what else they will do.
The sad part is that it looks like the PCUSA (not to be confused with the PCA) isn’t all that far behind:

This is a sad day for both churches involved. I am sad for my grandparents as they are PCUSA. I don’t know if I should talk to them about this news article and ask them what they think or just pray for them. Theirs is a conservative presbytery so it likely won’t penetrate there for a long time. I am guessing they would bail if it were ever to come down to their pastor preaching a sermon using anything aside from Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are old and wise so I guess the right route is to pray for them. On the other hand their tithes and offerings are going to support this church as an organization so they may need to know about this. Pray that I will have wisdom on this one.

Girl, 14, Sues MySpace.com Alleging Assault
AUSTIN, Texas — A 14-year-old girl who says she was sexually assaulted by another user of MySpace.com sued the social networking Web site Monday, claiming it does not take sufficient steps to protect underage members.
The girl says a 19-year-old man lied in his profile about being a senior on a football team to gain her trust and phone number.
And why should it take any measures at all? Protecting children is the responsibility of the parents. MySpace is a just a website and nothing more. If a parent cannot monitor their child’s online activities and make sure they are not going out with adults then the parent should be prosecuted not the website where the two met. Lets look at this for minute. A 19 year old lied on his profile and said he was a senior. So that makes him at least 17 according to his lies. How in the world did a 14 year old think going out with a senior was safe to begin with? This poor girl’s mother is a failure and this lawsuit seeks to absolve her for being a shitty parent. I am not blaming the victim here. not by a longshot, I am blaming her mother for not taking care of her child.
Pete Solis was arrested in May on a charge of sexual assault of a child. He could not immediately be reached Monday evening.
As he should have been. I hope they chop off this bastard’s nuts but the liberals in this country won’t allow us to actually stop predators. He is sick person and needs to be removed from the gene pool. We should extend the death penalty to cover these wastes of skin. In no way is MySpace responsible for his actions. The fault lies in two place and two places only at the feet of the mother who didn’t stop her daughter from going out with a “senior”, who by his own lies would have been an adult under Texas law, and the pedophile who committed this heinous crime.
The suit alleges that MySpace has “absolutely no meaningful protections or security measures to protect underage users.”
“(MySpace) has got to take this seriously,” said attorney Carl Barry, who is representing the girl and her mother. The suit seeks $30 million.
MySpace should be required to have “meaningful protections” or “security measures”. They ask how old you are. If you lie then you are the one lying and putting yourself at risk. If you think an online community is safe or will protect then you need to get your mind back into the really real world where the internet is on the computer and can’t physically hurt you and the real world is solid and has mean people in it. A website didn’t hurt this girl. A very sick man hurt this girl and her mother allowed it to happen.
Then we get to the real crux of the issue. 30,000,000 US Dollars. Gold digging bitch! This is not about MySpace putting up security. This is about lining your pockets because your daughter got raped! You are trying to profit off of your daughter’s pain. That is just sick. You failed as a parent and now want a payday. I hope this case gets tossed out in less time than it took you to not know where your daughter was going that day! You make me almost as sick as the man that did this. It is parents like you that enable these psychos and not websites. If you actually took care of your daughter and taught her basic ideas concerning safety then no sicko on MySpace could lure her in like this. It’s all on you, you hideous, money-grubbing, failure of a parent.
In a statement, MySpace said it is committed to the safety of its members.
“We take aggressive measures to protect our members,” said Hemanshu Nigam, chief security officer. “Ultimately, Internet safety is a shared responsibility. We encourage everyone on the Internet to engage in smart Web practices and have open family dialogue about how to apply offline lessons in the online world.”
Let’s see. MySpace has undercover police officers on their site, invited to be there, their own investigators, real questions about who you are and how old you are, warnings all over the place, if they catch you lying about your age they delete your account. This all sounds like they take security seriously. They do take precautions. No amount of precautions can protect children from shitty parents and that is what this all boils down to: A shitty parent wants to pawn off the blame on someone else and get paid. This is joke and a slap in the face to parental responsibility. I hope this psycho woman has to pay court costs and gets a stern rebuke from the judge. Actually I hope MySpace counter-sues her but that won’t happen since it would a public relations nightmare.
Wake up parents. It is not anyone’s responsibility to protect your children but your own. If you fail to do so then it’s your fault.
IATL was created with the intent of creating a place where partisan warfare would not be welcome, where serious matters, spiritual and otherwise, could be brought forth and no point of view would be shouted down. To a large degree, this was an unprecedented success. But this community was, probably from the start, overly ambitious. The partisan warfare has overwhelmed us, and our intent to place Christ-like behavior over rhetoric is now the subject of mockery. We really can’t be what we set out to be. It was probably not wise to try.

IATL = In All Things Love
This was a message board where up until today I was a moderator. It is now closed. I will not go into the history or reasons. I lost it today and blew up and likely played no small part in the board closing. They statement above is false. There was Christlike behaviour trying to be put forth. They espoused a liberal ideal of love being all fluffy bunnies and honey covered strawberries.

One of the founders asserted that content was less important than Christlike response while calling people arrogant, insulting their views, and then claiming he had done no such thing. I removed a post that was a one line in a heated thread. The one line was “Jesus was gay!”. I removed it because it was insulting to anyone who holds anything close to a traditional view of scripture. I was berated for my actions. Based on this another mod decided to quit. The previously mentioned founder proceeded to insult her beliefs. This made my mind up on leaving. Of course there was not any action on removing me from staff and more pokes at us conservatives including calling our beliefs a hate fest. I responded and not in the nicest way possinble. I called someone and arrogant bastard and I stand by that. I even acknowledged that I was being an ass.
You know what bugs me the most. People who are jerks and think they are not. I know I am being a jerk and don’t deny it. I hate hyprocrisy!
A friend of mine blowed himself up last night. I won’t give his name because it would be embarassing for him when he gets better. That is if he gets better. The only report I have heard since he got to hospital was about 0600 and he was stable. He was working at a range and apparently lit up a smoke where he shouldn’t have. The resulting explosion was contained the vault. There are conflicting reports as to whether or not he was in the vault at the time and as to what percentage of his body is burned. He was lifeflighted to a local hospital. I will post more when I have more information. Just keep him in your prayers for now I know he needs it.
Just when you didn’t think it was possible for the UCC to become even more apostate…
It has been reported that the UCC is handing out condoms with their “church” address printed on the wrappers at gay pride events. This is the same UCC that has aired commercials slamming churches for taking a traditional stance on homosexuality. I have yet to find a news article on the event but I trust the source as they were attending a gay pride event because they are proud to be gay and their post was praising the apostate church. If you go to any of their websites you will find that they are about as devout as the Universalist Unitarians. They talk about God but they sure don’t talk about repentance, sin, turning your life over to God, or any of the basic tenants of Christianity. They preach the ultimate feel good doctrine and claim to accept anyone regardless of their place in their search for spirituality. I wish them the best of luck with their religion. I just wish they would stop pretending that it’s the same religion in which Christ died on the cross!

I have been going to bed much earlier and subsequently getting up earlier. The goal is 0900 and I am making it alright. Well for two days in a row anyway. I ate well yesterday. I slept enough. And today I feel bad. I am achey and my stomach hurts. I wish I could blame this on not enough sleep and partying but I can’t. I also have the chills. I pray this isn’t something illness like creeping up on me. At least if it is I can still work since I work from home. I haven’t done anything to lower my immune system. I am treating my body well. I have been eating right and sleeping enough. I haven’t been out drinking. There is no excuse for getting sick. BAH!

Well I have a weird thing happening. It’s my day off. I am working Tues-Sat now to eliminate some of the overflow on the weekends. I like the schedule and it doesn’t really change much in my life. Since I work from home I don’t really have a weekend that sticks out in my mind. I can do a lot during the week and since I don’t leave the house to work every day is pretty much the same. So today is Monday and I am off work. I am feeling guilty because I know Jason is dealing with the queue all alone. I am freakin’ feeling guilty for taking a day off. How messed up is that?
I have no clue why I am feeling this guilt. I worked six days last week. I earned this day off damn it. Why does my mind do this crap to me?
DUBAI (Reuters) - Al Qaeda in Iraq vowed on Sunday to carry out large-scale attacks that would “shake the enemy” after the killing of its leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, but did not name a successor.
The group, in an Internet statement, said its leading body held a meeting after Zarqawi’s death to discuss strategy and renew a pledge to al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.
“We plan large-scaled operations that will shake the enemy and rob them of sleep, in coordination with the other factions of the Mujahideen Council,” said the statement posted an a Web site often used by Islamist militants.
